So Lucas turned half a year old this month. Has it really been 6 months already?! I suppose it’s true when they say the days are long but the years are short… though as long as they are, I wish they were longer. I’m just not ready for him to grow up; I want my tiny baby for as long as possible! It’s okay. We are cherishing every second with this little bear, even when he drives us me crazy (David has much more patience than I do, heh).
Also, this month: we took our first trip! We’ve been itching to travel and see the sights but with Lucas being so little we were scared. Now that he is a lot sturdier we figured we’d give it a go and test the waters with a smaller and closer place. Enter… Salzburg! We chose it because it isn’t too far away. There are lots of things to see and do… and well, “The Sound of Music!” Duh! It was a short trip (only a quick weekend), but it was great. We were prepared for chaos, though honestly, it went so much smoother than we were expecting. We didn’t get to do everything we wanted, but what we did see was amazing. Really, just being near the mountains is all we need to feel rejuvenated.
